Best actor in the world is Mammootty, no issues with him : Pratap Pothen

Controversy’s favourite actor/director Pratap Pothen was recently embroiled in a controversy over his Facebook post about Megastar Mammootty.

Pratap Pothen’s Facebook post on Mammootty had irked many fans of the megastar, following which he received lot of flak from the social media users. In his post, Pratap Pothen called Mammootty the best actor in the world, followed by his son Dulquer Salmaan. He even stated that since the megastar has the power to control many things, he can even become the next Chief Minister of Kerala for being such a knowledgeable person.

Pratap Pothen has now clarified about the issue. He says most of the people who ridicule him do not read his posts fully or try to understand it. They simply jump into conclusions and turn against me.

“Many people have accused me for writing against Mammootty. Why should I talk bad about him? He is my junior in the industry. He has even worked in my brother’s film. I have told that he is the world’s best actor. I am not doing a movie with Mammootty”, said Pratap Pothen.

“Social media is a platform to raise one’s thoughts and opinions. If someone abuses my children then I will definitely use swear words against them. There is a general conception among people that Pratap Pothen is a little weird and he takes drugs. I will not be able to prove myself to each and everyone”, concluded the actor

Pratap Pothen was scheduled to direct Dulquer Salmaan in a movie written by Anjali Menon. But due to various reasons the project was dropped recently.
