Bharat: After Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, Salman Khan to team up with Ali Abbas once again!

Salman Khan is currently awaiting the release of Tiger Zinda Hai, the sequel of his 2012 blockbuster film Ek Thaa Tiger. Ali Abbas Zafar with whom Salman delivered the all time blockbuster Sultan is directing the sequel as well. The duo have now officially announced their next project after Tiger Zinda Hai. Titled as Bharat, this film is an official adaptation of the 2014 Korean movie Ode to My Father.

Bharat is scheduled as Salman Khan’s Eid release for 2019. The movie is slated to go on floors by April next year. Atul Agnihotri willl producing this upcoming big big budget venture, which marks his second time collaboration with Salman after Bodyguard.

The film ‘Ode to My Father’ depicted modern Korean history from the 1950s to the present day through the life of an ordinary man and all major events that occurred in the country. Salman’s Bharat is journey of a country and also a person, both of whom go by the same name. The makers are planning to shoot the movie extensively in Abu Dhabi and Spain, besides Punjab and Delhi in India. The casting process will be on for the next three months.

Salman Khan’s last release Tubelight, which hit scenes earlier this year during the Eid season tanked at the box office. The movie had high expectations as Salman was teaming up with Kabir Khan after the blockbuster Bhajrangi Bhaijaan but it could not live up to that and failed miserably.

Salman fans are now eagerly looking forward to the release of Tiger Zinda Hai. The movie is scheduled as a grand Christmas release. Salman will be reprising his character of RAW agent Tiger and Katrina Kaif is also rejoining him. The movie already has great pre-release hype and is expected to make up for Tubelight’s shocking failure.
