Bhavana and Rahman Team Up for Mystery Thriller ‘Anomie’; Film to Hit Theatres on January 30

Malayalam cinema’s beloved star Bhavana is set to return to the big screen in a never-before-seen avatar with the upcoming mystery thriller ‘Anomie’, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 30. The film marks a significant milestone in Bhavana’s career, as the actor completes 23 years in cinema, having made her debut with the iconic film Nammal.

Anomie is expected to be a crucial landmark in her career, presenting her in an emotionally layered role unlike anything she has portrayed before. Written and directed by debutant Riyas Marath, Anomie goes beyond the framework of a conventional crime investigation film. The movie creatively explores the possibilities of parallel investigations, promising a fresh and engaging narrative approach. Bhavana essays the role of ‘Sara’, a deeply intense and emotionally driven forensic analyst, adding depth and gravitas to the mystery thriller genre.

Veteran actor Rahman plays ACP Gibran, another pivotal character in the film. After delivering memorable investigation-oriented performances in films like Dhruvangal 16, Rahman returns to Malayalam cinema as a powerful investigation officer, adding further intrigue to the project. The film also features Binu Pappu, Vishnu Agasthya, Arjun Lal, Shebin Benson, and Drishya Raghunath in key roles.

Anomie is presented by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar under the banners of T-Series Films and Panorama Studios. The film is produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, with Confident Group Chairman Dr. Roy C.J., Blitzkrieg Films, APK Cinema, and Bhavana Films Productions, headed by Bhavana herself, serving as production partners.

Adding to the film’s technical strength, the music is composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar, who has previously earned national recognition for his work in Animal. Sujith Sarang handles the cinematography, while editing is done by Kiran Das. The action sequences are choreographed by Action Santhosh.
