Biju Menon injured while Lakshyam shooting

Shoot for debut director Anzar Khan’s upcoming thriller Lakshyam was progressing at a brisk speed before an unfortunate incident forced an unscheduled break.

Lakshyam written by Jeethu Joseph features Biju Menon and Indrajith in the lead roles. Shoot for the movie was progressing in Athirappilly where Biju Menon suffered a hand injury. It is learnt that the actor slipped down and fell on his hands while filming a running sequence.

Initially the team thought that he was fine and it was just a minor fall but next day he experienced a shooting pain. Scan tests revealed a hairline fracture in his hand. Biju Menon was ready to shoot after a day’s break but the team was not willing to risk it as he had a few more action scenes that could aggravate his injury. Shoot for the movie is now put on on hold for a week till he recovers completely.

Jeethu Joseph’s script is based on director Anzar Khan’s tele film Mukhamaukham. Indrajith plays an IT professional, while Biju Menon does the role of a slum dweller. Sshivada Nair is playing the female lead in the movie. Shammi Thilakan and Kishore Satyan are also part of the cast.

Lakshyam revolves around the two convicts being transported from Peermade to Ernakulam. The team will also be filming in Malayatoor, Vagamon and Thommankuthu.
