Bollywood celebrities stand with Kerala!!

Kerala is currently in the process of recovering from its worst flood in nearly a century. According to government reports, around 380 people have already lost their lives and properties worth over Rs 20,000 crores have been destroyed.During the initial phase itself, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan raised awareness about the gravity of the disaster by requesting everyone to contribute generously towards the distress relief fund.

Celebrities across the country have pitched in their contributions to rebuild the state of Kerala. Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Swara Bhaskar, Alia Bhatt and Anushka Sharma, among others tweeted in support for Kerala and its people.

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his social media handle,

T 2904 – The devastation caused by incessant rain in Kerala is frightening !
Hundreds and thousands of our sisters and brothers are in deep anguish ! We must do all we can to contribute as much as we can towards the needs of the people of Kerala ..

Oscar winner Resul Pookutty tweeted,

I have personally reached out to most of them @SrBachchan @iamsrk and @arrahman were quick to react and we are consolidating our fare share of help to #Keralafloods and my fraternity says #istandwithkerela I’m humbled! Thank you so much ! (sic).

Hrithik Roshan wrote,
