Buzz; Theevandi Duo Tovino Thomas & Fellini TP Reuniting for a New Film?

Malayalam cinema’s celebrated ‘Theevandi’ duo, director Fellini TP, and star Tovino Thomas are reportedly in early discussions for a new film. If finalized, this will mark Fellini’s third directorial venture after the satirical drama Theevandi (2018) and the bilingual action thriller Ottu/Rendagam (2022), which featured Kunchacko Boban and Arvind Swamy.

Theevandi, which starred Tovino Thomas and Samyuktha Menon, was a refreshing political satire wrapped in humor. The film follows the life of a carefree chain smoker, Bineesh, and his struggles after unforeseen circumstances force him to quit the habit. With a compelling screenplay by Vini Vishwa Lal and a chartbuster soundtrack, the movie became a surprise hit, cementing Tovino’s position as a leading man in Mollywood.
