Carbon: When Fahadh Faasil joins with veterans Venu and KU Mohanan, expecations go sky-high!

It was only recently that Fahadh Faasil’s upcoming movie Carbon started rolling. The movie is being directed by ace cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Venu. This is his third directorial venture and also the first time he has scripted for a movie. Mamta Mohandas has been paired opposite Fahadh in Carbon.

Carbon has some renowned names as part of its technical team. Veteran cinematographer KU Mohanan, the man behind the visuals in movies like Don, Raees, Talaash etc is making his Malayalam debut with Carbon. Vishal Bhardwaj, apart from being of a top notch filmmaker is also a multiple National award winning composer.

He is handling the music department in Carbon. Director Venu’s wife Beena Paul, who is also a National award winner is handling the edits. The fact that director Venu has assembled such an enviable team itslef heightens the expectations about Carbon.

Carbon is tipped to be a suspense thriller, set in the backdrop of forests. As per reports, the movie will discuss about the climate change and it’s consequences. Interestingly, the movie comes with the tagline ‘Ashes and Diamonds’.

Fahadh is playing the role of Sibi, a rustic youth. Soubin Shahir, Sharafudheen, Manikandan Achari, Dileesh Pothan, Ashokan, Lena, Nedumudi Venu, Vijayaraghavan, Kochu Preman and Guppy fame Master Chetan Lal are also part of the supporting cast.

Carbon is being produced jointly by Sibi Thottapuram and Navis Xaviour.
