Casting call out for Lijo Jose Pellissery’s next with Mammootty

We had earlier reported about Mammootty and Lijo Jose Pellissery teaming up for a segment in the Netflix anthology based on MT Vasudevan Nair’s stories. Apparently, Lijo is planning to adapt ‘Kadugannawa Oru Yathra’, a short story by MT which recounts events during his visit to an international conference in Sri Lanka.

The makers have now released a casting call for the film. They are looking for male child actors between the age group of 9-17. Women between the age of 40-70 and men between 45-70 are also being seeked. The makers have mentioned that they prefer Palakkad-based actors.

Meanwhile, Mammootty-Lijo Jose Pellissery combo’s maiden feature film ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ is in the post-production stage. The film scripted by S Hareesh of ‘Jallikattu’ fame was shot majorly in Palani region. Mammootty reportedly plays a thief’s role in it. Tamil actress Ramya Pandian, Ashokan, ‘Homely Meals’ fame Vipin Atley, Rajesh Sharma and Ramachandran Durairaj also star in it.
