Celebrities excited about Mohanlal turning a director!!

Last day, Mohanlal made a huge announcement through his monthly blog. After four decades of acting, the superstar is all set to turn a director with an ambitious 3D film. Titled as ‘Barroz’, the film is based on a mythical story set in the Portuguese backdrop. Jijo Punnoose, the visionary filmmaker who made India’s first 3D film ‘My Dear Kuttichathan’, has penned the story.

Mohanlal, in his blog titled ‘A New Journey Begins – Barroz Guardian Of D’ Gama’s Treasure’, has written,

“After over 40 years in front of the camera, I’m finally going to step behind it. Barroz is the title of the film, and it will be in 3D. It will be a film that can be enjoyed by both kids and adults alike.”

The news went viral within minutes with several celebrities wishing the superstar luck for his directorial debut. Actors like Prithviraj, Tovino Thomas, Aju Varghese, Manju Warrier were excited about the big news. Prithviraj, who had recently hinted that Mohanlal is a filmmaker with great vision, wrote on his Facebook page,

On the acting front, Mohanlal is fresh from the blockbuster success of ‘Lucifer’. He is set to start shooting for his new film ‘Ittymaani Made In China’ shortly. He also has Siddique’s ‘Big Brother’ coming up this year.
