Celebrities in awe of Mamangam first look!

Earlier in the day, the much awaited first look poster of Mammootty’s ‘Mamangam’ was released online. This stunning poster designed by Old Monks features Mammootty and Unni Mukundan amidst what looks like a fierce battle sequence. If the poster is anything to go by, the movie promises to be an amazing visual spectacle. The poster went viral within minutes of its release.

Malayali celebrities like Dulquer Salmaan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Honey Rose, Aju Varghese, Kunchacko Boban, Sunny Wayne, Siddique, Anna Reshma, Anu Sithara and many others have shared the poster in their respective social media handles.

‘Mamangam’ is being directed by Padmakumar and Venu Kunnappilly is backing it under the banner of Kavya Films. Its original director Sajeev Pillai penned the script after doing an extensive research for over twelve years. Shankar Ramakrishnan later adapted the screenplay.

The movie is based on the medieval fair, Mamangam, where brave warriors from across the country would come together to showcase their skills at combat. Mammootty plays the lead role of a fiery ‘Chaaver’ (warrior) in the movie. Unni Mukundan, Kaniha, Anu Sithara, Tarun Raj Arora, Prachi Tehlan, Sudev Nair, Manikuttan, Siddique, Abu Salim, Sudheer Sukumaran and many others are also part of the cast.

The technical crew comprises of State award winning cinematographer Manoj Pillai, veteran music director M Jayachandran and art director Mohandas. Bollywood based composer Sanchit Balhara handles the background score. Sham Kaushal, a popular action choreographer in B-Town, is in charge of the stunts. Shoot for the movie is currently in the final stages.
