Charlie writer Unni R’s next movie Prathi Poovankozhi is a satire

We had earlier told you that writer Unni R’s next movie has been titled as Prathi Poovankozhi. Unni R, who has written acclaimed films like Munnariyippu and Charlie will be working with a bunch of youngsters for this upcoming movie.

Nee Ko Njaa Chaa fame Gireesh Mano will be directing this film. The movie will have a set of newcomers in the lead roles. In a recent interview, Unni R revealed that the movie will be a contemporary satire set against a rural backdrop in Kottayam. They are planning to kick-start the shoot by September.

Shebin Becker, who has funded movies like Charlie and Take Off is producing this film. Meanwhile, director Gireesh is busy working on his upcoming directorial Lava Kusha starring Aju Varghese, Neeraj Madhav, Biju Menon and Deepti Sati in major roles. The movie marks the debut of Neeraj Madhav as a scenarist and it is touted to be a comedy spy thriller. Lava Kusha is expected to release in August.

Unni R has already finished scripting for the upcoming Dulquer Salmaan starrer Oru Bhayankara Kamukan. Lal Jose will be directing this movie, touted to be a rural entertainer. This movie will also be funded by Shebin Becker. It was supposed to go on floors much earlier but was postponed due to Dulquer’s prior commitments.
