Check out these new stills from the sets of Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham

‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’ shoot is currently progressing at Ramoji Rao Film City, Hyderabad. Recently, the team had some celebrations on the sets, the biggest of which Mohanlal being honoured with the country’s third highest civilian award, Padma Bhushan. There were some other reasons for celebrations as Mohanlal’s production house Aashirvad Cinema had their 20th anniversary. Actor Prabhu also joined in the celebrations as it was his wedding anniversary and his wife was also present in the sets.

The makers have released a few new stills from the location and we can see Mohanlal, Siddique, Manju Warrier and Prabhu sporting peculiar getups. Directed by Priyadarshan, the movie has Mohanlal playing the role of Kunjali Marakkar. Others in the cast include Pranav Mohanlal, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Arjun, Keerthy Suresh, Suniel Shetty and Fazil.

Marakkar is said to be one of the most expensive movies ever made in Malayalam cinema. Mohanlal’s Aashirvad Cinemas, Confident Group and Moonshot Entertainment are jointly producing the movie. Production designer Sabu Cyril, cinematographer Tirru, editor MS Ayyappan Nair and a Los Angeles-based VFX studio are part of the technical crew.
