Chemban Vinod Jose in Rajinikanth’s Darbar

Superstar Rajinikanth’s is currently in Mumbai shooting for his new film ‘Darbar’. The film which is touted to be an action-packed mass entertainer is directed by AR Murugadoss. Nayanathara plays the female lead and Nivetha Thomas is also there in a prominent role. The latest we hear is that Malayali actor Chemban Vinod Jose is also part of the movie. Though details about his character has not yet been released, it is said to be a very important role.

‘Darbar’ is Chemban Vinod’s second film in Tamil. He made his debut last year with the Vijay Milton directorial ‘Goli Soda 2’, in which he played the villain. It will be interesting to see what role he is essaying in ‘Darbar’. The movie has Rajinikanth in role of a Mumbai based police officer. It has been decades since the star last played a cop, so fans are highly excited about it.

‘Darbar’ also has a solid technical crew headlined by ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan, composer Anirudh Ravichander and veteran editor Sreekar Prasad. Ram-Laxman duo is choreographing the stunts. Lyca Productions, who last collaborated with Rajinikanth in ‘2.0’, is producing this movie as well. The makers have already announced that the movie will be hitting screens in January.
