Charlie, Two Countries, Adi Kapyare Koottamani, Jo and the Boy – Christmas releases ringing the money bell in box office

2015 altogether is a good year for Mollywood and the Christmas releases is providing a perfect end to the year by ringing the money bells in box office this season. Due to theater strike, the Christmas releases came a little late this year and some of the earlier planned releases had to postpone the release to January as well. So as many as 4 Malayalam releases came to grace the silver screens here as Christmas releases. Charlie starring Dulquer Salmaan and Jo and the Boy starring Manju Warrier came on 24th December and Two Countries starring Dileep and Adi Kapyare Koottamni starring Dhyan Sreenivasan, Neeraj Madhav, Aju Varghese etc came on 25th December as well. Among this Charlie and Two Countries are now moving to super success as well.

Charlie

Charlie directed by Martin Prakatt and written by Unni R along with Martin had begun the box office race in style by collection above 2 crore on its first day. This Dulquer Salmaan-Parvathy starrer had created mixed response among the audience but performing great in box office. From its first 4 days (weekend collection), it had amassed a total above 6. 8 crore. Now the week days will decide whether the film sustains it or not. The box office status also can be said then only.

Two Countries

Two Countries is the Dileep- Mamta Mohandas starrer flick directed by Shafi and scripted by his brother Rafi. The film got the best word of mouth from theaters in this Christmas season as everyone who watches the film comes out satisfied and happy. We can assure that Two countries will be the 3rd consecutive success from Dileep- Shafi combination. The film had started slow at box office but getting great pace at box office now with extra screens added up and the rush becoming uncontrollable as well. As per official reports the film had raked in an amount above 6.2 crore from its first weekend and going great in week days as well.

Adi Kapyare Koottamani

Adi Kapyare Kootamani also doing good business with positive word of mouth all over. This film directed by John Varghese and starred by Dhyan Sreenivasan, Neeraj Madhav, Aju Varghese and Namitha Pramod had collected above 2 crore rupees from 3 days. Friday film house financed this film in association with Carnival motion pictures.

Jo and the Boy

This Rojin Thomas directorial film starring Manju Warrier and Master Sanoop Santhosh had got only average response at box office and its 4 day collection is only around 1.5 crore as per reports

We have to wait some more days to say who will be the Christmas winner, whether its Charlie or may be Two Countries.
