Combination with Prithviraj clicked once again in Ezra: Tovino Thomas

Tovino Thomas is fast approaching the big league of stars in Mollywood. His last release Oru Mexican Aparatha is still running successfully in some centres and has already got the hit tag under it’s name.

Tovino’s growth from a supporting actor to a popular star is like a fairy tale. His acting career can be divided into before Ennu Ninte Moideen and after Ennu Ninte Moideen. It was his role Perumpparambil Appu in the RS Vimal directorial that made the audience to take notice of this young promising actor.

Ennu Ninte Moideen (ENM) was a game changer in Tovino’s career. The movie gave him a much needed image makeover who till then was mostly seen in the good looking guy next door roles. Though Tovino’s screen space was limited in ENM, he managed to create a lasting impact in the viewers mind.

Tovino credits Prithviraj for giving the break in his career. It was Prithvi who suggested Tovino for the role of Appu after being impressed with his performance in 7th Day. The two last worked together in the horror thriller Ezra which has crossed the 50 days theatrical run and is still continuing it’s successful run. In a recent interview, Tovino said he was glad that their combination clicked once again. His was a brief role as ACP Shafeer, a cop who enters the scene for an investigation. Though he doesn’t have many scenes, his chiselled physique and looks complemented well for a young police officer.

Prithviraj also recently congratulated Tovino for Oru Mexican Aparatha’s success and wrote in his Facebook page that he was happy to see Tovino’s growth as an actor/star.
