Confirmed: Here’s when Lucifer starts rolling!

Actor Prithviraj’s directorial debut, Lucifer, starring Mohanlal in the lead is one of the most about talked about projects in recent years. Murali Gopy is scripting this movie and is funded by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. Through the movie’s social media page, the makers have announced that shoot will officially kick-start on July 18.

Pre-production works are currently in the final stages. Casting process is almost over and unconfirmed reports hints at a star-studded cast in Lucifer. Vivek Oberoi, Tovino Thomas, Murali Gopy, Manju Warrier, ‘Queen’ fame Saniya Iyappan are some of the prominent names that are doing the rounds but the makers are yet to give an official word.

The fact that two of Malayalam cinema’s biggest stars – Mohanlal and Prithviraj – are teaming up for the first time itself triggers high expectations for Lucifer. Reportedly, the movie will be a complete mass masala entertainer aimed at the fans. Prithviraj had earlier hinted that Lucifer, like all Murali Gopy scripts, will be an intense film that demands strong performances from the actors. In the technical crew, Sujith Vaassudev will be cranking the camera and Deepak Dev will be handling the music department.

Prithviraj is currently busy with the shoot of Jenuse Mohmammed’s 9. The actor is also venturing into production with 9, which is said to be a sci-fi thriller. Mohanlal meanwhile is shooting in UK for Drama, directed by Ranjith. The actor will be flying back to India by the end of this month and will be joining the sets of Lucifer from July 18. The movie will shot majorly in Trivandrum, Kochi and Mumbai.
