Confirmed: Kalidas Jayaram’s next is with Alphonse Puthren!

After a lot of postponing, Kalidas Jayaram’s Malayalam debut as a lead actor Poomaram got released last Friday. The movie directed by Abrid Shine is getting good reviews from the critics. After a slow start, the movie is gradually picking up at the box office thanks to the positive word-of-mouth. Kalidas’ matured performance as Gautham, a cordial student leader, has also earned him appreciation.

Kalidas will next team up with the highly promising Alphonse Puthren for a Tamil movie. After delivering the sensational blockbuster ‘Premam’ in 2015, Alphonse had gone off the limelight. Last year, the director announced that he was working on a new project which would be a musical in Tamil.

Speculations were rife that Kalidas and Siddharth are being considered for the lead roles in the movie. Kalidas is already confirmed but Siddharth’s part is not yet known. In in a recent interview, Kaliads opened up about how excited he is about the movie. He informed that the script was locked only a few days back, so they haven’t decided on the shooting dates or anything. A final call will be taken only after a few rounds of discussions.

It would be interesting to see what Alphonse Puthren is coming up with this time. His debut film ‘Neram’ was a commercially successful Tamil-Malayalam bilingual while ‘Premam’ was a sensational success all across South India. Riding on the success of these two movies, Alphonse has already carved a niche for himself in the industry.

For his upcoming movie, Alphonse has retained his two trusted friends/technicians – cinematographer Anend C Chandran and composer Rajesh Murugesan. The movie’s official announcement is expected to be made very soon.
