Confirmed: Nedumudi Venu is also part of Indian 2

Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’ is set to go on floors next month. Directed by Shankar, the movie is the sequel to the 1996 hit, ‘Indian’. Kamal is reprising his role of Senapathi, a freedom fighter-turned-vigilante, in the sequel. Along with him, Nedumudi Venu is also reprising his role from the first part. Director Shankar confirmed this in a recent interview. Venu played the role of an investigating officer in ‘Indian’ and the veteran’s performance was noted. Actor Nasser dubbed for his character in the movie.

‘Indian 2’ has Kajal Agarwal as the female lead. The actress has already started training in Kalaripayattu for the movie. Though several other names are doing the rounds, the makers are yet to announce the cast officially. Shankar is scripting the movie and dialogues are being penned by Jeyamohan, Kabilan Vairmuthu and Lakshmi Saravanakumar. Production designer Muthuraj, cinematographer Ravi Varman and composer Anirudh are part of the technical crew.
