I consider Lalettan’s words of appreciation equal to an Oscar Award: Aparna Balamurali

Aparna Balamurali won hearts with her endearing performance as Jimsy in Dileesh Pothen’s Maheshinte Prathikaram. Her portrayal of the smart and bold small town girl was appreciated by the critics and common audience alike.

In a recent interview, Aparna Balamurali talked about the response she got for her perfomance in the movie. Veteran directors Sathyan Anthikad and Kamal had called and congratulated the actress. But she was on cloud nine when the next person called her. It was none other than Mohanlal.

The superstar lauded Aparna for her performance and wished her to do even better in the future. He also invited her for a lunch with him. Aparna in the interview said that she considers such moments equal to winning an Oscar award.

It is worth a mention that Mohanlal had also wrote a Facebook post heaping praise on the movie and congratulating the team of Maheshinte Prathikaram for their work.

Aparna Balamurali is currently shooting for Sunday Holiday opposite Asif Ali. She recently forayed into Kollywood with the critically acclaimed crime thriller 8 Thottakal.
