D 44: Dhanush and Anirudh reunite for Sun Pictures’ next

Tamil cinema’s rockstar composer Anirudh Ravichander is celebrating his birthday today. Sun Pictures has announced that Anirudh will be scoring music for their next film that will have Dhanush in the lead. Tentatively titled as ‘D 44’, the film brings together Dhanush and Anirudh after 4 years. They last worked together in ‘Thanga Magan’.

DnA, as they are popularly known, have created several chartbuster songs including the viral hit ‘Why This Kolaveri Di’. When the duo reunite after a brief gap, expectations are certain to be huge among music lovers.

Though the makers are yet to announce it officially, it is said that Mithran Jawahar will be directing ‘D 44’. The director has previously helmed films like ‘Yaaradi Nee Mohini’, ‘Kutty’, ‘Uthamaputhiran’ and ‘Meendum Oru Kadhal Kadhai’. Interestingly, all his four films were remakes. ‘D 44’, however, will be an original film. Reports suggest that Dhanush has scripted the film.
