D43 titled as Maaran; First look of Dhanush-Karthick Naren film out

As announced, the title and first look poster of Dhanush’s upcoming film with Karthick Naren has been unveiled. It is the star’s birthday today and the update has come as a treat for his fans. The film, which was so far called ‘D 43’, has officially been titled as ‘Maaran’. From the first look poster, it looks like an action flick.

Karthick Naren has scripted the film with additional screenplay and dialogues by Malayali scenarists Suhas-Sharafu of ‘Varathan’ fame and lyricist Vivek. Malavika Mohanan is the female lead. Unconfirmed reports suggest that Dhanush and Malavika play investigative journalists in the film.

‘Thadam’ fame Smruthi Venkat, ‘Soorarai Pottru’ fame Krishna Kumar, Mahendran and Samuthirakani are also part of the supporting cast. GV Prakash Kumar is composing the music and cinematography is by Vivekanand Santhosham. The film is produced jointly by Sendhil Thyagarajan and Arjun Thyagarajan under the banner of Sathya Jyothi Films.
