D44: Dhanush’s next with Mithran Jawahar launched

Dhanush’s new film, tentatively titled as ‘D44’, has been launched. The film is directed by Mithran Jawahar, who has previously helmed films like ‘Yaaradi Nee Mohini’, ‘Kutty’, ‘Uthamaputhiran’ and ‘Meendum Oru Kadhal Kadhai’.
Interestingly, all his four films so far have been remakes. However, ‘D 44’, promises to be an original film. It is being produced by Sun Pictures. The film’s title will be announced today evening at 6 PM.

Nithya Menen, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Raashi Khanna have been signed as the female leads. Filmmaker-turned-actor Bharathiraja and Prakash Raj will be seen in prominent roles. One of the film’s highlights is the reunion of Dhanush and Anirudh Ravichander.

DnA, as they are popularly known, have created several chartbuster songs in the past including the viral hit ‘Why This Kolaveri Di’. They last teamed up six years back for ‘Thanga Magan’. Expectations will be huge when the combo gets back together.
