Dhanush Set to Join Rajinikanth in ‘Jailer 2’, Fans Await Official Confirmation

Exciting buzz is building in the Tamil film industry as reports suggest that actor Dhanush is likely to play a pivotal role in the much-anticipated sequel, Jailer 2. Directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar, the film follows the massive success of Jailer, which starred Rajinikanth and featured stellar cameos from top actors like Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, and Shiva Rajkumar, who are expected to reprise their roles in the sequel.

The project, produced by Sun Pictures, is slated to begin shooting in the second half of 2025, with pre-production already underway. Rajinikanth, fresh off his latest release Vettaiyan, is also preparing to work on Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Meanwhile, Dhanush, who is a longtime fan of the Superstar, has been approached for a key role after Rajinikanth approved the idea.
