Dhanush’s Asuran to be released in Chinese language!

Dhanush starrer ‘Asuran’ is one of the most talked about Tamil films in recent times. The film directed by Vetrimaaran was a huge success both critically and commercially. It is already getting remade in Telugu as ‘Naarappa’ with Venkatesh playing the lead role. Talks are also on for the Kannada and Hindi remake rights.

Meanwhile, it is being reported that the film will be dubbed and released in Chinese language. Producer Kalaipuli S Thanu has confirmed this. He is hopeful about the film doing well in Chinese markets. The huge success of Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ of Irrfan Khan’s ‘Hindi Medium’ in China has opened the market for Indian films.

‘Asuran’ is the story of a lower caste family’s fight for survival. Director Vetrimaaran adapted the film from Poomani’s famous novel ‘Vekkai’. Dhanush’s stellar perfomance in the film was unanimously appreciated. It is also the star’s first film to enter the elite Rs 100 crore club.
