Dhanush’s Karnan to be out on Amazon Prime on May 14

After its blockbuster theatrical run, Dhanush starrer ‘Karnan’ is all set for OTT release. The film will be out on Amazon Prime on May 14. The Mari Selvaraj directorial has been rated by many as one of the best Indian films released this year. It is a rural-based drama that is partly inspired by real life incidents. The film is hard-hitting and thought-provoking as it speaks about oppression, custody violence and institutional discrimination. While Dhanush played the titular role, the film also stars Rajisha Vijayan, Lal, Lakshmipriya Chandramouli, Azhagar Perumal, Natarajan Subramanian, Gouri Kishan and Yogi Babu in important roles.

‘Karnan’ is also getting remade in Telugu. Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas is set to reprise the lead role played by Dhanush in the original. The Telugu remake rights has been bought for a hefty price. An official announcement with details regarding the director and other cast and crew members is expected to be made very soon.
