Dhanush’s second directorial is a big budget multi-starrer!!

We had earlier reported about Dhanush committing for his second directorial with Sri Thenandal Films. The movie went on floors last day in Tirunelveli with a customary pooja and switch on ceremony. Dhanush has assembled an ensemble cast for his new film. Along with him, the movie also stars Telugu superstar Nagarjuna, Aditi Rao Hydari, SJ Suryah, Sarath Kumar and Srikanth in major roles.

As per trustworthy reports, this upcoming movie has a period setup and has been planned to be made on a lavish scale. It will be made as a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu languages. Reportedly, Nagarjuna’s character in the movie was originally supposed to be played by Rajinikanth but since the superstar plunged into politics, he could not take it up.

On the technical front, the makers have roped in Om Prakash to wield the camera and Sean Roldan to handle the music department. T Muthuraj has been signed as the production designer. Dhanush’s debut directorial Power Pandi aka Pa Pandi was a feel-good romantic tale of a middle aged pair. The movie found critical acclaim and was also a successful affair at the box office. So the audience will definitely be expecting another quality film from him.
