Director/Actor Alphonse Puthren to turn producer

Director Alphonse Puthren is turning a producer through an upcoming movie directed by one of his friends, Mohsin Kassim. The movie will star Premam actors Siju Wilson, Krishna Shankar, Sharafudheen and Shabareesh Varma in the lead roles.

Alphonse Puthren himself announced the news through his official Facebook account. The post also included a casting call for the role of female lead. Sensible girls in the age group of 18-25, who are affluent in Malayalam are called for the role.

The director has been keeping a low profile after giving the sensational blockbuster Premam. Recently there were reports about Alphonse making a bilingual in Tamil and Malayalam with Simbu in the lead. Megastar Mammootty is said to be doing a cameo in this movie.

According to these reports, after completing the bilingual project, Alphonse will direct Mohanlal in a Malayalam movie. It is to be remembered that the director was the one who edited Mohanlal’s superhit movie Oppam’s trailer. He recently attended the 101 days celebration of the movie in Kochi. The authenticity of these reports are yet to be confirmed.
