Who is the director of Mohanlal’s Randamoozham?

Mohanlal last day made a stunning announcement, the long awaited movie Randamoozham is finally happening. The movie scripted by MT Vasudevan Nair will start rolling next year. Mohanlal said that the script works have been completed and the movie will be made on a whopping budget of 600 crores.

There were many speculations about the movie in the past also. Ace filmmaker Hariharan was supposed to do the project but it could not materialize. The director said, after completing the shoot for Pazhassiraja producer Gokulam Gopalan had asked him to do another project. Hariharan suggested to make a film on MT Vasudevan Nair’s epic novel Randamoozham. The writer was of the opinion that the novel cannot be made into a single movie and that they should plan it as two parts. Gokulam Gopalan could not agree upon this and hence the project could not take off.

Now, according to reports popular ad filmmaker VA Shrikumar Menon will helm this project. VA Shrikumar Menon is a big shot in the advertising world. He is the managing director and chief creative officer of Push Integrated Communications Pvt Ltd. Mohanlal will play the role of Bheemasenan in Randamoozham which will also feature many prominent stars from other industries. More details regarding the movie is expected in the coming days.

Mohanlal meanwhile will join the second schedule of Major Ravi’s upcoming war movie 1971 : Beyond Borders. He has also allocated dates for projects with directors B Unnikrishnan, Vysakh and Prithviraj. Vellimoonga fame Jibu Jacob’s Munthirivallikalal Thalirkkumbol will be his next release.
