Director Nithin Renji Panicker about Kasaba

Megastar Mammootty starrer Kasaba is one of the most expected movies of the season. The movie also has Tamil actress Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Jagadeesh, Sampath, Kannada actress Neha Saxena and other prominent actors doing supporting roles. Megastar Mammootty is donning the khakis after 5 long years and fans are more than excited for the movie to hit the screens. There has been many speculations regarding Kasaba and about the character that Mammootty is playing.

Director Nithin Renji Panicker has finally decided to clear the airs about his debut movie. He reveals that Mammootty is playing the character of Rajan Zachariah, a police officer but not the cliche kind of role that we usually see in Mollywood. Rajan Zachariah is not someone who is out there on a mission to save the society from the evils. It is a very interesting character with many shades. He is someone who is witty, serious and grey shaded at the same time.

Nithin Renji Panicker believes that only Mammootty could play this character and no other actor could have given complete justice and fill in the shoes of Rajan Zachariah. He also added that it was his long time dream to work with Mammootty and is very excited that he could fulfill that dream with his debut movie itself. Meanwhile Nithin Renji Panicker is leaving no stone unturned for the release and is finalizing the cuts and last minute patch works.

Kasaba is releasing on July 6th and all sections of the audience are eagerly awaiting for Rajan Zachariah and co to storm the screens.
