Double delight for Vijay fans; Mersal teaser and audio to be released on the same day

Shoot for Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Mersal is expected to be wrapped up tomorrow and the team will soon be entering the post production stage. This Atlee directorial is highly anticipated by the audience, especially Vijay fans, since the director is teaming up with Vijay after the massive success of Theri. AR Rahman is scoring music for this movie, produced by Sri Thenandal Films.

The team had recently announced that a grand audio launch will be held on August 20. According to latest reports, the movie’s teaser will also be unveiled during the function. Since Mersal is the 100th film of Sri Thenandral Films, they are organizing a posh launch event. Several celebrities from Kollywood are expected to grace the event.

Oscar Award winner AR Rahman is composing tunes for a Vijay starrer after 10 long years and naturally expectations are sky high among the listeners. Also, its been a while since Rahman has worked on a pucca commercial movie. So it will be refreshing to listen to some mass numbers from the maestro.

Vijay films’ teasers have always been well received by the audience. His loyal fan base which extends across states are eagerly looking forward to see Vijay in a triple role. He is playing a triple role for the first time in his career. Nithya Menen, Kajal Agarwal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be seen as the female leads.

Recently, the Kerala distribution rights for Mersal was bagged by Global United Media Company for a whopping price. It is said to be the highest ever for a Vijay film in Kerala. Mersal already has a tremendous pre-release hype.

To cash in on the increasing popularity of Vijay in the Telugu speaking states, the makers are also dubbing the movie and the Telugu version has been titled as Adirindhi. Baahubali writer KV Vijayendra Prasad and Ramana Girivasan have helmed the film’s screenwriting. The movie is scheduled to hit screens worldwide in October, for this year’s Diwali.
