Driving Licence is a special film with a very interesting script: Prithviraj

‘Driving Licence’ is one of the most anticipated films among the Christmas releases this year. Starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead roles, the film is directed by Jean Paul Lal aka Lal Jr. Sachy has scripted the film, which is produced by Prithviraj Productions. It is the banner’s second venture after the sci-fi thriller ‘9’ aka ‘Nine’.

Prithviraj seems to have pinned high hopes on ‘Driving Licence’. In a recent Facebook post, he had mentioned it as a very special film. According to him, it’s easily one of of the most interesting mainstream scripts that he has been part of. Though Prithviraj has not worked previously with director Jeethu, he shares a close bond with scenarist Sachy. It must be noted that the latter’s directorial debut ‘Anarkali’ was with Prithviraj. Sachy’s new film ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ also has Prithviraj as one of the leads along with Biju Menon.

Meanwhile, ‘Driving Licence’ is gearing up for release on December 20. It has Prithviraj playing the role a film star and Suraj Venjaramoodu as a vehicle inspector, who is also a big fan. It is the dynamics between the star and his fan that takes the film forward. Deepti Sati and Miya George play the two female leads. The film will be having a simultaneous worldwide release. Its overseas rights were recently bagged by Phars Films Co Llc for Rs 2.55 crore, which is said to be the highest for a Prithviraj starrer yet.
