Dulquer is a really good performer and I’m excited to be working with him: Ritu Varma

Last day we had reported about Telugu actress Ritu Varma signing for Dulquer Salmaan’s new Tamil movie. Award winning short filmmaker Desingh Periyasamy is making his directorial debut with this yet to be titled movie, which is touted to be a romantic thriller.

Ritu Varma rose to fame with her perfomance in the superhit Telugu movie Pelli Choopulu. Apparently, the actress is thrilled about bagging a chance to work with Dulquer as she revealed it in a recent interview.

“I signed the project recently. Dulquer is a really good performer and I’m excited to be working with him. Although it’s too early to talk about the film or my character, I can say that I’m really looking forward to starting work on this film,” Ritu told IANS.

Ritu Varma is also playing one of the female leads in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s upcoming film Dhruva Natchathiram, which has Chiyaan Vikram in the lead. The last leg of shoot for this high octane spy thriller is currently progressing in Turkey and Ritu is expected to join the team very soon.

Desingh Periyasamy’s movie will be Dulquer’s fourth Tamil movie after Vaayai Moodi Pesavum, OK Kanmani and the yet-to-be released Solo. In this upcoming movie, Dulquer plays Sidharth aka Sid, a happy go lucky guy. The actor known for his penchant for trying different get ups, will be sporting a new look in this movie.

Unlike his previous Tamil films, this movie will have some stylish heroic elements. K M Bhaskar will be cranking the camera for this movie, planned to be shot across Chennai, Goa and Delhi.
