Dulquer Salmaan is a born actor : Sathyan Anthikad

Director Sathyan Anthikad’s next release is Jomonte Suvisheshangal starring young sensation Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. This is the first time the veteran director is working with Dulquer.

In a recent interview he showered praises on the actor for his performance in the movie.

Sathyan Anthikad said, “Dulquer has an unique style of his own. He does not try to imitate or replicate what others do. That is a great aspect of an actor according to me.

He is very conscious about the work he is doing. He rehearses his dialogues repeatedly. Once the camera starts rolling, he completely transforms into the character.

Only good actors tend to have this quality. On the 10th day of the shoot of Jomonte Suvisheshangal, I called Mammootty and said Dulquer is born to be an actor and he would not have succeeded like this had he chosen any other profession.

Young actors like Dulquer Salmaan, Nivin Pauly and Fahadh Faasil do not consider cinema as a profession, they find happiness while working in movies.

I am amazed by the commitment they show for the work they are doing. Dulquer has impressed me many times with his performance in Jomonte Suvisheshangal.

One such incident was when the whole crew was stunned after watching Dulquer perform in an emotional scene. Actress Muthumani who acted opposite him in the scene told me that she was moved to tears watching him perform.

Not only emotional scenes, he was equally good in comedy also. Many of the crew members including me were laughing out loud while shooting for a fun scene between Mukesh and Dulquer.

Dulquer by-hearts dialogues very quickly and so he does not need any prompting. He clearly understands every word in the dialogue. He gives suggestions and even improvises while delivering certain dialogues”, concluded Sathyan Anthikad.

It seems like the director is mighty impressed with Dulquer’s performance in the movie. Premam fame Anupama Parameswaran and Aishwarya Rajesh is playing the female lead in the movie.

Jomonte Suvisheshangal is a family entertainer written by Dr Iqbal Kuttippuram and produced by Sethu Mannarkkadu under the banner Full Moon Cinemas. The movie is hitting the screens on December 16.
