Empuraan box office record
Empuraan Creates History: Fastest 4 Lakh Admissions in UAE After Avengers: Endgame, Nears $15M Overseas
Mohanlal’s Empuraan is rewriting box office history, becoming the fastest Malayalam film to cross ₹200 crore worldwide in just five days. With its six-day total now around ₹215 crore, the film has solidified itself as one of Mollywood’s biggest commercial successes. Empuraan is only the second Malayalam film to surpass the ₹200 crore mark, following Manjummel Boys. However, it has achieved this feat at an unprecedented pace, setting new benchmarks for the industry.
The film’s Kerala gross stands at ₹62 crore in six days, while its overseas earnings have skyrocketed to $14.16M (₹121.3 crore) in just five days. Empuraan is on track to become the first-ever Malayalam film to enter the $15M club by the end of today. The Middle East market has played a crucial role, with a staggering $7.86M (₹67.25 crore) in just five days, making it the biggest Malayalam grosser in Gulf history. The film’s opening weekend alone contributed $6.59M, followed by an impressive $1.27M on Monday.
In the UAE, Empuraan has achieved a remarkable milestone, becoming the fastest film to cross 4 lakh admissions among international titles, second only to Avengers: Endgame. With such phenomenal box office dominance, Empuraan continues its march towards becoming Mollywood’s highest-grossing film ever, proving the unmatched global appeal of Mohanlal’s stardom.
