Empuraan shoot will begin only by the end of 2021: Murali Gopy

After the record breaking success of ‘Lucifer’, it was officially announced that the film will be having a second part. Titled as ‘Empuraan’, the film will see Mohanlal returning as Khureshi Ab’raam aka Stephen Nedumbally. Prithviraj, apart from directing the film, will be reprising his role of Zayed Masood. Aashiravd Cinemas will be producing the film, which according to the makers, will be much bigger in terms of in terms of scale and treatment style.

Though it was announced that shoot will be starting by mid-2020, they have now postponed it owing to other commitments of the parties involved. Scriptwriter Murali Gopy himself revealed this in a recent interview. Apparently, ‘Empuraan’ will start rolling only by the end of 2021.

Mohanlal meanwhile will be working on his ambitious directorial debut ‘Barroz’ and Murali Gopy-Prithviraj duo will be working together in another film, which will be directed by ‘Kammarasambhavam’ fame Rathish Ambat.
