Even Arabs are mind blown after watching Pulimurugan

Pulimurugan was released in Middle East on November 3rd in a record number of theatres.

In UAE alone, Pulimurugan released in a record 56 theaters. In GCC the movie was screened in 26 theatres. Pulimurugan was also released in 9 theaters in Oman, 6 in Bahrain, 7 in Qatar and 4 in Kuwait. This is by far the biggest release for a Malayalam movie in the Middle East.

Recently an Arab resident watched the movie in Sharjah and was literally stunned by the movie. He said that he has not seen such a movie even in Bollywood. Many Hindi movies release here but he has not seen such a celebration for any Hindi movie. Everyone is so excited and he said that if Mohanlal visits the theatre now, everyone will go crazy. This shows the kind of craze people have for him. People love his movies so much.

All shows for the movie were houseful. The Arab said he is a great fan of Amitabh Bachchan, but Mohanlal is the best. Interestingly this is the first time he is watching a Mohanlal movie.

Special shows were arranged for fans association members in Dubai and Bahrain. Pulimurugan had broken the record by Rajinikanth’s Kabali and Salman Khan’s Sultan in terms of show count in Gulf countries.

The movie had 630 shows in UAE/GCC in the opening release day. Kabali had 425 shows while Sultan only had 225 shows on their release days.

Excellent reports are coming in from all the release centres. Sources indicate that Pulimurugan might end up as the highest grossing India movie in Gulf countries.

Mohanlal’s Pulimurugan was released on October 7th during the Pooja holidays. The movie is still continuing its terrific run in the box office in Kerala.
