Even after watching more than 100 times, Ezra still amazes me: Prithviraj Sukumaran

Prithviraj’s highly anticipated horror thriller Ezra is all set to hit screens on February 10. The movie is directed by debutant Jay K, a former associate of cinematographer/ filmmaker Rajeev Ravi. Ezra marks the debut Malayalam movie of South Indian actress Priya Anand.

Recently, an excited Prithviraj opened up about the movie and his expectations.

“Ezra is a movie set in two timelines. It should be the first ever Indian movie with a horror theme, set in a Jewish backdrop. The Jew community had their settlements in Ernakulam and Kochi. This movie discusses about the Jewish history in Kerala. I have already seen the movie more than 100 times, but the movie still amazes me. The audience will have many new things to learn through this movie.”

“After the classic Bhargavi Nilayam, Ezra must be the first straight horror film in Malayalam. Most of the other movies were horror comedies. Ezra will be a new experience for all as the movie does not follow the tried and tested formula.”

The movie also stars Tovino Thomas, Sudev Nair, Vijayaraghavan, Babu Antony, Pratap Pothen, Alencier Ley Lopez, Bharat Dabholkar and Ann Sheetal in pivotal characters.

Sujith Vaassudev has handled the cinematography while Vivek Harshan is in charge of editing. Rahul Raj and Sushin Shyam has composed the music for this movie. Mukesh R. Mehta, C. V. Sarathy and A. V. Anoop have produced the film under the banner of E4 Entertainment and AVA Productions.
