Fahadh Faasil joins the cast of Allu Arjun’s Pushpa

It was recently announced that Fahadh Faasil would be playing the villain role in Allu Arjun’s highly anticipated film ‘Pushpa’. Fahadh has now joined the team in Hyderabad. Since this is the first time the two stars are acting together, expectations are huge. This is also Fahadh’s debut outing in Telugu. The makers of ‘Pushpa’ had initially signed Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi to play the antagonist’s role but due to the unexpected Covid-19 crisis and following date issues, he had to opt out of the project.

‘Pushpa’ directed by Sukumar is a mass-action entertainer planned as a pan-Indian release. Allu Arjun has gone through a major makeover for the film as he sports a rugged and local look. It is said that the film revolves around the smuggling of red sanders in the Tamil Nadu-Andhra Pradesh border. Rashmika Mandanna, Prakash Raj, Jagapathi Babu and many others are part of the cast.
