Famous Hollywood stunt choreographer for Prithviraj’s Ranam – Detroit Crossing

Prithviraj’s ambitious crossover movie Ranam – Detroit Crossing is gearing up for release. The movie marks the directorial debut of Nirmal Sahadev, a former associate of Shyamaprasad. He is also one of the scriptwriters of the upcoming Nivin Pauly starrer Hey Jude.

Ranam – Detroit Crossing was shot entirely in the US. The movie explores the lives of the immigrant community in Detroit, Michigan. Prithviraj plays a Tamil street gang member in the movie, which is inspired by real life incidents. The movie falls under the category of a dark neo-noir thriller, a genre less explored in Malayalam cinema.

Stunts in the movie are choreographed by Christopher Brunetti, a noted actor-stuntman who has worked in several Hollywood movies and web series. He has worked in world famous web series like House of Cards, Murder Calls and Fatal Attraction. Antman, NFS and Accountant are some of the movies in which he has worked as a stuntman.

Apparently, Ranam – Detroit Crossing will have some highly stylish action sequences choreographed by Christopher Brunetti. Most of the movie’s crew members are from the US itslef. Cinematography is being handled by Lukasz Pruchnik and ‘Dhuruvangal 16’ fame Jakes Bejoy is composing the music.

The movie’s supporting cast includes Rahman, Isha Talwar, Sampath Raj and Ashwin Kumar. Rahman had recently said that his character is a daring step in Malayalam cinema. While Prithviraj plays a grey shaded role, Isha Talwar will be seen in an equally important role that also has several shades to it.
