First look poster of Manju Warrier’s Kayattam grabs attention!

Last day, on the occasion of Eid, the first look poster of Manju Warrier’s new film ‘Kayattam’ was released online. From the poster, we can make out that she plays a hiker in the film. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, the film was completely shot in Himachal Pradesh. Manju has also produced the film along with Shaji Mathew and Aruna Mathew.

It was during the shoot of ‘Kayattam’ that Manju Warrier and crew got stranded in the flood-hit remote areas of Himachal Pradesh last August. The crew got stuck in Chhattru, an isolated village located on the road to Spiti Valley from Manali, after a series of flash floods and landslides had blocked the roads. Timely intervention from the Kerala government, Union Ministry and Himachal Pradesh government helped the crew return back to safety.

Like Sanal Kumar’s other films, ‘Kayattam’ is also expected to do its rounds in film festivals before getting a theatrical release.
