The first look poster of the much awaited Aashiq abu directorial flick Rani Padmini starring Manju Warrier and Rima Kallingal is out an getting great response from everywhere. Manju Warrier and Rima kallingal playing the lead in this flick and their character names are Padmini and Rani respectively. Manju Warrier who is considered as one of the best and popular actress Mollywood had ever seen and Rima Kallingal is one of the best in the younger generation of actresses. It will be the first time they are sharing the screen space for a film. And Rima has been away from films after her marriage with Aashiq abu and concentrating more on her dance school. And now she is coming back through the film directed by her husband as well.

Manju Warrier is coming fresh from the success of Ennum Eppozhum with Mohanlal and now she has been looking forward to score a hat-trick of hits with Rani Padmini. Her comeback film How Old Are You also was a success. Ashiq abu is coming after a disaster named Gangster starred Mammootty in the lead which was finance by Aashiq Abu himself and he had to prove to the audience through this film that Gangster was just a small mistake or more like an accident.

Rani Padmini as the title suggests is a woman centric flick which has thrilling elements as well. It tells the story of two women who meets each other during a journey and somehow they had to involve in the events of the other which makes a thriller as well. This movie is also made like that of a road movie which involves lots of places as per reports.

The flick has been written by Shyam Pushkaran and Ravi Shankar and financed by VS Muhammad althaf and PM Harris under the banner name of fort entertainments. The flick has actors like Sreenath Bhasi, Soubin Shaheer, Dileesh Pothan, Shine Tom Chacko etc in supporting roles. The DOP of the flick is Madhu Neelakandan and songs and bgm were tunes by Bijipal. They are planning to release it on this coming October as per sources.
