First look poster of Vijay’s Mersal is a big hit! Here’s what celebrities had to say about it

The much awaited title and first look posters of Vijay’s upcoming movie with director Atlee was released yesterday on the eve of Ilayathalapathy’s 43rd birthday. The movie has been titled as Mersal and two posters were also released. They are trending virally in social medias and many celebrities have also shared the posters. Mersal marks the reunion of the ‘Theri’ combo of Vijay and Atlee. Vijay is playing a triple role for the first time in his career. The posters have revealed two different looks, so is there a surprise third one? Let’s wait and watch.

The movie stars Nithya Menen, Kajal Agarwal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the female leads. SJ Suryah, Sathyaraj, Vadivelu, Sathyan and Kovai Sarala are also part of the cast. Baahubali writer KV Vijayendra Prasad and Ramana Girivasan have helmed the film’s screenwriting. Oscar award winner AR Rahman is handling the music department for this movie.

Mersal is slated to hit screens worldwide for this year’s Diwali in October. It is the 100th film to be funded under the prestigious banner of Sri Thenandal Films.
