First look of Vijay Sethupathi starrer Laabam is here!

The first look poster of Vijay Sethupathi’s new film ‘Laabam’ has been released online. National award winner SP Jhananathan is directing the film that has Shruthi Haasan as the female lead. Vijay Sethupathi plays a character named Pakkiri, who is the leader of farmers association. Shruti Haasan essays a character named Sriranjani, who is a singer who travels to different places to educate people.

Director SP Jhananathan is noted for his films like ‘Iyarkai’ and ‘Peranmai’. He has previously worked with Vijay Sethupathi in ‘Purampokku Engira Pothuvudamai’, which also had Arya in a major role. Like his earlier films, ‘Laabam’ will also be a socially relevant one that discusses about the plight of the farmers in the country today.

‘Laabam’ looks very promising with a strong cast and crew. ‘Madras’ fame Kalaiyarasan, Sai Dhansika and Daniel are there in prominent roles. Jagapathi Babu will be seen as the villain. D Imman is composing the music and the film has cinematography is by Ramji. Director Arumugakumar is producing the film that is expected to hit screens very soon.
