First schedule of Mari Selvaraj’s Maamannan wrapped up

‘Karnan’ director Mari Selvaraj’s new film ‘Maamannan’ went on only floors recently. The film starring Fahadh Faasil, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Vadivelu and Keerthy Suresh as the leads is produced by Red Giant Movies. It is learnt that the makers have successfully wrapped up the first schedule of shoot. Portions involving Vedivelu and Udhayanidhi were shot in this leg of shoot.

‘Maamanithan’ is set to be a rural-based mass entertainer. It is expected to be a strong content-oriented film like Mari Selvaraj’s previous works, ‘Pariyerum Perumal’ and ‘Karnan’. The makers however have so far been tight-lipped about the film’s genre or its storyline. Maestro AR Rahman is composing music for the film and cinematography is by Theni Easwar.

Mari Selvaraj is currently one of the most sought-after filmmakers in Tamil industry. After ‘Maamannan’, he will be teaming up with Dhruv Vikram for a sports-based film. Mari’s mentor Pa Ranjith is producing the film. Mari has also committed for another film with his ‘Karnan’ actor Dhanush.
