Grand audio launch planned for Vijay’s Sarkar!!

Thalapathy Vijay’s Sarkar is gearing up to hit screens in November. This AR Murugadoss directorial has massive expectations as Vijay’s previous two outings (Thupakki and Kaththi) with the director were hugely successful. As the release date is closing in, the makers have started the promotion works. After the single release last week, it has now been announced that a grand audio launch will be held on October 2 in Chennai.

Generally, audio launch events are recorded and telecast at a later date, but for Sarkar, Sun TV will be telecasting the programme live. Many big names from the Tamil film industry are expected to attend the event. There is also a buzz that AR Rahman will be performing live in the function. Last time for Mersal’s audio launch, the Academy award winner had performed all the songs in front of a live audience. Vijay fans are expecting another cracker of an album like Mersal, though the first single ‘Simtaangaran’ failed to live up to the hype.

Sarkar is a political thriller that reportedly has Vijay playing a multi-millionaire techie. Keerthy Suresh plays his romantic interest while Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar is also there in a important character. Pala Karuppaiah, Radha Ravi, Livingston, Yogi Babu, Prem and many others are part of the supporting cast. Its technical team includes AR Rahman, Malayali cinematographer Girish Gangadharan and ace editor Sreekar Prasad.

Sarkar is scheduled to hit screens worldwide for Deepavali, on November 6.
