Halal Love Story to release directly in Amazon Prime

After ‘Sufiyum Sujathayum’ and ‘C U Soon’, another Malayalam film is gearing up for direct OTT release. ‘Sudani From Nigeria’ fame Zakariya’s sophomore film ‘Halal Love Story’ is all set to release on Amazon Prime. We hear that the film will be having its premier on October 15. The formal announcement regarding the release date is expected to be made by the makers soon.

‘Halal Love Story’ has Indrajith Sukumaran, Joju George, Grace Antony, Soubin Shahir and Sharafudheen in the lead roles. Parvathy is also part of the film in a cameo role. This is probably the first time she is playing a guest appearance in a Malayalam film.

Zakariya is directing and co-scripting ‘Halal Love Story’ along with Muhsin Parari. It is said to be a feel-good comedy flick with some subtle political commentary in it. The technical crew comprises of cinematographer Ajay Menon, editor Saiju Sreedharan and costume designer Mashar Hamsa. Bijibal, Shahabaz Aman and Rex Vijayan are jointly handling the music department.

Aashiq Abu is producing the film along with Jesna Ashim and Harshad Ali.
