Here’s the first look of Deepika Padukone from Chhapaak

Meghna Gulzar’s new film ‘Chhapaak’ starts rolling today (March 25). Starring Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey in the lead, this film is the story of an acid attack survivor. It is based on the life of acid attack survivor and social activist Laxmi Agarwal. Deepika’s stunning new look in the movie got revealed today through social medias. The actress looks nearly unrecognizable in the photo.

Deepika plays a character named Malti, who fights all odds and never gives up despite facing numerous obstacles in her path. Revealing the first look, director Meghna has written in her social media handle,

Shoot begins today.
Film releases on 10th January, 2020.

Meghna Gulzar is well known for helming acclaimed films like ‘Talvar’ and ‘Raazi’. ‘Chhapaak’ marks Deepika’s entry to film production, as she’ll be co-producing the movie in her KA Productions along with Fox Star studios and Mriga films.
