Here’s the first look poster of Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal

The first look poster of Akshay Kumar’s space film ‘Mission Mangal’ was released last day. The movie directed by Jagan Shakti is about Mangalyaan, India’s first interplanetary mission to reach the Mars orbit, Along with Akshay Kumar, the movie has an impressive line up of actors like Vidya Balan, Nithya Menen, Tapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharman Joshi and ‘Pink’ fame Kirti Kulhari.

Akshay Kumar has pinned high hopes on the movie. In his Twitter handle, he has written,

#MissionMangal , a film which I hope will inspire as much as entertain. A film which I’ve done specially for my daughter and children her age to familiarise them with the incredible true story of India’s mission to Mars!

The female actors in the movie is said to play the roles of the real-life ISRO scientists who were associated with the Mangalyaan project. Ravi Varman is the cinematographer and music department is handled by Amit Trivedi. Chandan Arora is in charge of the edits.

Fox Star Studios, Hope Productions and Cape Of Good Films are jointly funding this movie. It is slated to hit screens worldwide for Independence Day on August 15.
