Here’s the release date of Ajith starrer Nerkonda Paarvai

Amidst a lot of speculations, the makers of ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’ have finally confirmed the release date. The movie will be hitting screens on August 8. The H Vinoth directorial is the remake of acclaimed Hindi film ‘Pink’. Boney Kapoor, husband of late actress Sridevi, is producing the movie.

‘Nerkonda Paarvai’ has Ajith reprising Amitabh Bachchan’s role from the original. Shraddha Srinath is essaying the role done by Taapsee Pannu. Bollywood actress Vidya Balan’s is making her debut in Tamil with this movie by playing the role of Ajith’s wife. Kalki Koechlin is also making a guest appearance in a song.

‘Nerkonda Paarvai’ has pretty high expectations among the Tamil audience as Ajith is doing something different from the regular commercial potboilers after a very long gap. ‘Pink’, directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, was a widely acclaimed film that even went on to bag a National award. The Tamil version is also expected to do well.
