Here’s a stunning new poster from Vijay’s Mersal

Last day the makers of Vijay’s Mersal had announced the much awaited teaser release date. Vijay fans have been waiting with bated breath for the teaser and it will finally be released on September 21 at 6 PM. They have now released a new poster featuring Vijay, Nithya Menen and a boy, who probably is the younger Vijay.

Mersal marks the reunion of Vijay and director Atlee after the blockbuster success of Theri. Vijay is playing a triple role in Mersal, a first in his two decade long career. He will be seen as an 80s villager, a doctor and a magician in the movie. Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Kajal Agarwal and Nithya Menen play the three female leads. SJ Suryah, Sathyaraj, Vadivelu, Sathyan, Kovai Sarala and Yogi Babu are also part of the cast.

Mersal’s shoot has already been wrapped up and the team is now working hard to ensure a smooth release for Diwali in October. Songs composed by AR Rahman have become a rage and are topping the charts ever since it was launched with a high profile event in Chennai.

Baahubali writer KV Vijayendra Prasad and Ramana Girivasan have helmed the movie’s screenwriting along with Atlee. Mersal marks the 100th film of the famous production house Sri Thenandal Films. All eyes now on September 21 for the teaser!
